Working on “ugly” Christmas sweaters is a treat I get to enjoy every year in preparation for the holiday season. It is not an easy process but certainly a fun one, at least once you get the hang of it. This year’s theme is all about Pokemon. I had other ideas in mind for Gravity Falls and Steven Universe concepts, but these two shone the brightest as I cross stitched away in Photoshop.
The first design shows Pikachu, playfully resting on a wreath decorated with first generation gym badges. This is definitely the one I put the most thought, time and effort into, and also the sweater I wore on Christmas!
The second is a bit more simple and traditional. I tried to go for an 8-bit spite pattern using the first generation starters. I’ll admit, it’s hardly as creative as the first design, but I still had loads of fun working on it, and at the end of the day that’s what matters.
I do hope you enjoy these two sweater designs. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support throughout this past year and wish you all the happiest of holidays this season.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
Please feel free to leave any feedback below. I do hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed worked on it.
